Commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland 's total sales in December declined 19 percent year-on-year to 7,299 units amid continued sluggish demand for medium and heavy trucks. Sales of its small truck Dost accelerated 88 percent to 2,069 units, last month. However, excluding that, its CV sales fell 34 percent to 5,230 units. Over the April-Dec period, its total sales are up 21 percent to 79,990 units, primarily boosted by the Dost.
